Gustavo de Hoyos

President of the Mexican Employers’ Confederation (Coparmex)

He serves as CEO of the legal services company "De Hoyos y Avilés" (DHA) with a multi-regional operation in Mexico, and participates in companies of industrial supply, commercialization of financial assets, urban infrastructure and hospitality services.

He is president of the Employer Confederation of the Mexican Republic. After occupying various positions at the local, regional and national level, he was elected National President for the 2016-2017 biennium and reelected for the 2018, 2019 and 2020 exercises, always unanimously.

He is part of the Executive Commission of the Business Coordinating Council and the Advisory Council of Mexicans against Corruption and Impunity.

He participates in the Consultative Council for International Negotiations, and in the agreement of the T-MEC he promoted his anti-corruption chapter. He served as President and is part of the Board of Trustees of the Autonomous University of Baja California, and was the first President of the UABC Foundation of the same university.

He is a columnist in the Reforma, the Excélsior, El Universal, El Financiero, El Sol de México and The Economist, as well as the magazines Proceso, Abogado Corporativo, IMEF y Alto Nivel.
